There are many Fish Attracting Devices (FAD's) in the Davao gulf and quite lot of shipping so sailing at night with no moon can be risky - although having AIS is a great help to see what the ships are doing on the chart. We drifted a couple hours with the drogue out once a few miles north of the Cape to wait for daylight - interested bankas woke us.
